The first thing that I noticed was the color palette. Oh, the colors! Now I am usually a basics kinda gal; black &amp; white is my personal uniform and earth tones are my house colors. I will have to tell you that there is something very European looking about it. The chalk paint is often distressed to give it a vintage feel then finished by rubbing a soft wax over the painted surface. Not only does the wax finish look luxurious and velvety but it also protects the color and wood for years!
